Is it normal for your baby to all of a sudden start drinking for way less time than usual? My son is 5 months old and I’m still quite new in my direct breastfeeding journey, but in the beginning he’d drink on average for like 13-15 minutes in the day and then longer feeds at night every 2 hours. The past few days he still drinks for a long time at night (mostly for comfort towards the end of the feeds I believe), but he only drinks for like 2-3 minutes for most of the day feeds. Usually every 1.5-2.5 hours. The thing is, he’s not emptying even one breast so I know it can’t be that it’s all gone. I end up having to pump after his feeds because I’m worried that he’ll dry me up! 😬 He has on average 7 wet diapers and 1-3 dirty so does that mean it’s probably alright?

He’s only having breast milk, no food yet besides small tastes of peanut butter and eggs every other day like his pediatrician recommended.
