Any nurses or Drs here???

My doctor prescribed me ondansetron for my morning sickness. I'm about 7 weeks. I looked it up and it says it's not the best. I took two already, I will request a new one on Monday, but I'm just confused why he would prescribe that to me when he knows I'm pregnant? Is it bad or no???

It’s zofran. That’s what pretty much all of us get as the anti nausea. Lmfao.

I took it with my son my entire pregnancy. & I’ve taken it since 7 weeks with my current pregnancy. My son is 2 and is as healthy as can be

Thanks to those who are being kind and  sincere. I looked it up and this is why I was iffy.

I was prescribed the same thing around 8 ish weeks. They gave me a lower dose like 4 mg every 8 hrs as needed. Once I hit 11 ish weeks and that wasn’t helping I was prescribed 8 mg every 6 hours as needed. I’m 20 weeks and my son has been measuring ahead and healthy at every ultrasound. They wouldn’t prescribe anything that has major health risk during pregnancy.
