I am a 25 and autistic I didn’t date much in high school and my boyfriend and I are talking about taking the next step in our relationship he’s not pressuring me or anything but my mom or sister hasn’t talked to me about sex before so how do I know that I am ready

I’m just going to assume you’ve never had sex before. You just feel it when you’re ready, most people don’t wait till they’re actually ready and kinda or totally regrets their first time so wait till you feel ready and don’t let anyone (society or specific people) pressure you into doing something you’re not ready for. I myself was a bit nervous, but totally mentally ready when I first had sex. I originally wanted to have sex and got multiple chances to have sex for the first time when I was younger, but I didn’t feel ready so I waited till I did feel ready and I have never regretted that for a second. I’m also autistic so I struggle to try new things, but for me it helped to do a bunch of research on what could happen or what could better the experience like different kinds of positions and what I could expect to feel physically after. And we set a specific date for when we were going to have sex so that helped me a lot, like it didn’t come as a surprise (I hate surprises).
