Do your husbands help out at home?

If your a STAHM does your husband help out at home with the chores ( cooking cleaning etc) when he gets home from work, or is that only your job and his is just going to work?

He does the manly tasks. Like taking the trash out and mowing the lawn but honestly no he doesn’t help out. But, I don’t leave anything undone for him to help out, dinners ready laundry’s done house is clean kids are bathed by the time he gets home from work. His job is to pay the bills mine is the kids and house 🤷🏼‍♀️ that doesn’t work for everyone though that’s just how I prefer. Honestly if he did help he’d do it wrong anyways 😂

Of course he helps. It's his house, children, dishes, and laundry too. Most of it is usually taken care of by me but if it's not, he helps. I never have to ask him to help.

It changes. If his work schedule is super overloaded, he helps usually with just bed time. I will do cooking and cleaning. If he’s got a normal schedule, it’s equal. I usually “clock out” for a few hours every day then pick up helping if needed lol.

I’m a WFHM, I take care of the basics during the day— vacuum, dishes, laundry, trash, etc. My husband is an active participant in our daily routine but he does expect me to take care of most of the housework since I’m the one who’s here all day. But He cooks, helps with bedtime, finishes chores I didn’t get to etc. right now he’s making my dinner and washing my pump parts while I put the kids to bed.

I do a majority of things. I wfh and kids are in daycare. He mows the lawn, trash etc. we both parent together in the evening and bedtime

I do majority of the cooking and cleaning, and everything is usually done by the time he comes home so there’s nothing he needs to help with. But taking out the trash, yard work and car maintenance are his jobs. He’ll also make the dinner if it’s like grilling steak or something. And if I ask him to help me with something around the house, he’ll do it.

my man likes to cook and relax. he may start a load of clothes but it won’t be done for three days. he’ll take out the trash, but i can get him to keep his things off the floor. lol men just live differently, sometimes they don’t require much. ik it can be frustrating. just ask him to pitch in

I work from home 20 hours a week and he works outside of the home 40-45 hours. I do all the cooking and the heavy majority of cleaning. He takes the trash out and will unload or load the dishwasher, switch (not fold or put away) the laundry, and helps me with mowing and weed whacking. He provides a lifestyle that allows me to work part time from home and be with our child 24/7. Sometimes it feels like it’s not even, but i remember that he carries burdens i do not see as well. I’ve been 100% sahm before too, and probably will be again once baby is born.
