Sometimes what really gets me angry is that my husband asks me about our kids things, where they are, where to find the binkies, the diapers, the pjs, what he needs to give them for dinner when I’m off to work. Not only am I the default parent but also the default maid it seems. It’s like he can’t either function as a parent independently or he can’t be bothered. When we argued about this my MIL was over, and later I apologized to her for being in such a bad mood. To add fuel to the fire she says “well, he’s a man, my husband was the same with our kids, he didn’t know anything!” I said, that I want my husband to be a father to their kids and that means knowing where everything is and not to rely on me. I have noticed on so many instances that woman either does it on purpose or is too ignorant to constantly give her son the right of way regardless.

She sometimes says, my husband does a lot as a father. Just WTH, as he Should!

I’ve distanced myself from her lately.
