Placenta previa at 11w ultrasound…
I went in for my routine check at 11w and my OB tried hearing baby’s heartbeat with a Doppler but he couldn’t find one, she then gave me a referral to go in for an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok since my last pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage (7w)
When I went in for the U/S I saw a healthy baby kicking and a strong heartbeat and my baby was measuring 11w3d (huge relief). I went back to my Obgyn and there she said, the baby was on track but they saw that I have “Placenta Previa” and I asked which type but she said it was not written down and she didn’t know but that I will have to be on pelvic rest until my anatomy scan (that is now coming up in Oct.) She also said that the tech also saw that I have a dermoid cyst on my left ovary and they will also have to check that in my upcoming anatomy u/s. I also have anemia which is not a good mix with placenta previa but she says that there was no subchorionic hematoma which is good.
My question is do you believe my placenta previa could be resolved by my anatomy scan? The pelvic rest has been really hard on me especially with two little ones at home and not being able to lift my youngest one. Thankfully I do have some help but still it’s not the same..
Also what happens when you have a dermoid cyst do you need surgery to have it removed?
I’ve never had surgery before and that’s really scary to think about. I hope I get another natural labor and delivery too.
If you’ve had the same conditions as me please tell me your experiences 🥺
Also your prayers are well received. This pregnancy has had my anxiety high since with my miscarriage I had very heavy bleeding that was almost out of control and researching the complications of previa is so frightening. 🙏
