Hey guys,

I'm 24 and my husband is 38. We got married in June of this year. He's very controlling and insecure. It's like once we got married he instantly changed and tries to dominate me and treats me like I'm his child. He even said before that he "owns me".

The history behind him spitting in my face is that he went through my personal journal and discovered that I used to be a sex worker way before i met him and we got married. He can be verbally abusive at times.

I really want to divorce him, and thankfully no children are involved.

I called the clerk of courts today and got a little more information on the divorce process and how much it'll be for me to file and for the sheriff to serve him the papers. I'm just scared.

Im just going to act like everything's normal, and go down to the courthouse Friday and file.
