I am having severe anxiety! I just hope what I am feeling is wrong.

My bf is a mechanic. He would work with his dad at his dads shop. A year ago, someone broke into their shop and stole his tool box which was worth thousands of dollars. He was financing the tool box. They also attempted to break into a customers car. None of his dads stuff was stolen which at the time I didn’t think much of it. Now, I’m rethinking this whole situation.

I’ll be honest, my bf has an Instagram business page and he would post a lot of personal stuff. I didn’t want to victim blame him but I felt like he provoked the robbery by over sharing. You don’t over share your financial success. He lost his tool box and was extremely upset about the robbery.

A year later, he now has his own shop, no longer with his dad. He became friends with this crew. My bf started acting more “gangster.” He hired one of the guys who used to be part of a gang and was recently out of jail. My bf started acting different. He would drink with them after work and started getting head tattoos. I was getting mad and told him I didn’t like him being around them. Things were affecting our relationship. He was acting weird…… also his alcohol dependency got worse

One night, he faced time with a bloody face and missing teeth. The guy who worked with him stole his truck and ran him over. According to my bf they were drinking one late afternoon after work and they got into a fight. Till this day I don’t know what the fight was about. My bf had asked him where his keys were because they were ready to go home…the guy got mad he questioned him because my bf had his keys all along which makes me wonder was he really that drunk to not know where his keys were? My bf told me he thinks the guy did a line of coke which makes me think if my bf also did coke? According to my bf, the guy was very violent..things got violent and they started to fight …2 other guys showed up which he knew they set him up…The guy tried to run off with the truck and ran my bf over knocking him down onto the concrete …. He lost his front teeth and opened his head. Luckily they found the truck days later…till this day the whole story remains unclear….

All these robberies are making me doubt my bf’s behavior/ connections. Now my bf doesn’t let me go to him because he’s afraid we will run into that guy…
