C-Section and Natural Delivery Fears
Hi all, I’m 18 weeks pregnant with my first child.
I am having anxiety and sometimes I cry whenever I think of the labor. I have opted in for a C-Section because I am so scared and also have ear problems that I can’t go through intense pain or screaming if that’s what the natural delivery requires. However, the entire labor experience terrifies me regardless of the method.
There are nights I can’t sleep because I keep thinking about and imagining stuff, I got to the point where I’m starting to think about writing my will. Last night at 4:00 AM I was watching a YouTube video about Labor stories and what to expect, I broke down crying luckily my husband was still up so I texted him and said I was scared.
He comforted me but I can’t stop thinking and I don’t know how normal this is, is there anything I can do to help ease my fears? I can’t wait to meet my baby and as much as I have been enjoying my pregnancy journey, I am terrified. Thanks for the support and any input you have.
