My daughter has started reception this september.. she absolutely loves it.. but i'm finding that she is struggling to make friends.. in the nursery she went to.. there was mainly boys.. who have now joined her.. and the other girls have foamed friendships from their different nurseries.. the problem is.. the boys don't want to play with her and it seems the girls are going to each others houses.. not really including her.. for the first time today.. she said she was playing alone because nobody wanted to play with her and started crying.. i was afraid of this.. we walk home and everyone is in groups.. chatting away.. my daughter will say hi and no one will even smile.. she's a child.. i encouraged her to introduce herself.. ask to play with them while at school.. it just breaks my heart.. she want's friendship but she's also a little shy.
