I’m 28 weeks today. Yesterday I had an OB appointment and all was well. Only addition to the appointment was they administered a tdap to boost my pertussis for sweet baby boy. I went about my day as usual and started to notice my urine getting darker. By 2:30 my urine was clearly blood colored so I called my OB office and left work to head in to see if they could fit me in. By the grace of God they did, asked me to leave a urine sample, and sent it out for a culture (should know more by Wednesday/Thursday). In the meantime time the OB prescribed me an antibiotic and said once the culture came back she’d likely revise the RX but said something was better than nothing as she believes this is attributed to a sudden onset UTI. (I do have a history of both UTIs and kidney stones when pregnant — happened with my daughter as well 5 years ago). She checked baby’s heart with the Doppler and all was well so sent me on my way. I started my meds last night and my urine was fine all night.

This morning I wake up and clearly bright red blood in the toilet and pink when I wipe. 😳 I have decided I’m taking the day off to rest and focus on baby boy today (want to make sure I feel him move and all without the distraction of working). I’m also starting to feel somewhat crampy but I know the mind can do powerful things and I’m not sure if it’s truly cramps or not.
