Messaging with married coworker
So, at first me and my coworker would message. He is quite older than me. By 15 years. At first it was nice messaging as he would give me a lot of life advice, he honestly felt like a mentor/guidance person. He then asks me out, but I knew he had kids and I had seen him previously with kids and a lady with them all. Not only that but he’s so much older, and obviously not my thing.
So I declined his invite and then asked if he was married, he said he was and he apologized and said it won’t happen again. So we continued to text after that but only related to work (we work in a place where we need to text each other, not all the time but like once or twice a week.) so he msgs me and it was work related at first, but then things got really weird. He goes off course and ends up talking about his personal life, and then asked me out to the gym. Please see screenshots below. Anyways after I told my mother about this situation, she told me I was wrong for even continuing these non work related Conversations even if they were friendly, TO ME. I then realized it was wrong, and I feel really bad and since realizing, me and him haven’t spoken much except for what he sends me, Please see the screenshots below.
A week later :
A few days after :
So then I suggested not texting anymore unless it’s work related and he agreed. But then he texts me things like this:
And recently sent me this song
If you know this song talks about missing a woman that is no longer in his life. I’m assuming he’s saying he misses me because we no longer talk. I didn’t respond to this.
I’m considering quitting my job, it’s a very small company and there is no HR or anyone I can talk to.
So I’ve already requested my shifts not be with his so I haven’t seen him in person in a while. I just feel so bad for the wife and bad I even continued convo although it was friendly on my end, however, sometimes flirty on his end. I don’t like him in the slightest, I just thought he was nice. I do feel really guilty now though, like I did something wrong and I just feel icky
