Hi all, I recently got a Pap smear done and it’s the first time it has came back abnormal. My gynecologist told me it came back positive for hpv. I was at work when she told me so I couldn’t really ask questions.

I must have recently got it because I get them done yearly and they have always came back normal. I was with my kids father for 6 years until we ended the relationship end of last year.

I am now in a new relationship as of 3 months ago and I feel defeated now. I am going to bring it up to him but unsure how to. And I don’t want to blame him but he’s the only other person I’ve done anything with.

I’m also scared and don’t know what the next steps are as far as treatment. Any advice will be appreciated 😭
