11 months postpartum of our first child, I haven’t had my period since getting pregnant and still breastfeeding.

A LH peak was found by OPK and BBT on October 16th and I felt cramping on October 16th and 17th. I should be about 6 DPO today.

Yesterday midday, I had some red blood in cervical mucus only when wiping (see picture 1). A little after, when wiping, there was no more red blood but a slightly light pink tint to my cervical mucus (see picture 2). Since yesterday afternoon, I have continued to have a little hint of pink in my cervical mucus.

Usually when my periods are about to start, I have extreme cramping to the point where I’m in a ball on the couch with a heating pad and the blood starts rather quickly and intensifies. I usually have a medium to heavy flow. I also find it quite weird that it would be my period because I was only 5 DPO yesterday but I know that the prolactin from breastfeeding can cause shorter luteal phases.

However, I know that implantation is only around 6-12 DPO and is usually pale pink or brown. And I’m unsure it’s my periods, even if I could be having shorter luteal phase because I have not rebled… I did an OPK test and a HCG test this morning. The OPK is very pale and the HCG seems negative.

What do you think this is?
