Low quality and quantity follicles

Hi everyone!

I’m 40 and my husband and I are trying a baby #2 for almost 2 years. I had a miscarriage a year ago (7 weeks) so we went for help and just finished our first IVF cycle without success because none of the eggs went ahead and continued multiplying cells after day 5.

Did anyone go through the same/similar process?

I was told I have low amount of follicles (normal for my age) - they used 8, 5 got naturally fertilized, 2 got lazy halfway through and the remaining 3 stopped evolving… - and I was also told that my egg quality is low.
