Continued TTC journey; Male infertility

I am currently 25 years old, I have 2 children from a previous relationship ages 5 and 4. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for around 2 years now, while I understand that’s not long compared to the wait others experience.

My husband and I FINALLY agreed on sperm donation, which had been a really hard decision to come to. Generally with my first 2 I had no issues getting pregnant so I am hoping it will be a first try with insemination.

Since coming to this decision my family had made unnecessary comments stating my husband would leave me because the pressure of raising a baby that’s not biologically his, in addition to that it was mentioned that my husband will see it as cheating because of it being another man’s sperm.

I plan to do AI (artificial insemination) on Nov. 8th and 9th. My husband and I are trying to make this trip Romantic as well. Considering we MAY be pregnant soon.

How would you approach this situation as it appears my family is VERY negative with it.
