Would seeing your realtor drive a nice car give you confidence in them?

First impressions are important. If you saw your realtor driving a Toyota Corolla vs some luxury/ nice vehicle - bmw,  Tesla , Audi, Jeep, etc-  would you consciously/subconsciously feel more confident in their ability to help you? 
Note that you aren’t a good or bad person either way. Just curious! Feel free to comment explanations or even how much it would really play a role in your first impression/ opinion of them. Overall it’s an knowledge and expertise anyway.

I am an owner of a Toyota Corolla so this isn’t me knocking ppl who drive them! They’re great! However I’m debating on becoming a realtor and have been trying to research about the career. Things I never would have thought of may or may not matter and a nice car may be one of them. Appearance of course is important and above all else experience and knowledge is what will make someone successful.

Yes and no. 
Yes, driving a luxury vehicle would tell me you’re successful and if you’re successful you’re probably good at your job. But I’d also want you to be approachable. I’d feel like if you’re driving a luxury vehicle you probably have more money and wouldn’t really understand my budget. If you had an “attainable” car then I’d probably find you more approachable and more trustworthy.

My realtor (male) wore flip flops to most of our showings and honestly I have no idea what he drives 😂 he was 10/10 though

Having expensive items doesn’t mean you’re trustworthy, successful, wealthy or financially savvy.

If I saw the car before I met the realtor and it was a fancy expensive car, I would be worried the person is an asshole 🤷🏻‍♀️

As a girly currently looking for a house, we’ve looked at Dozens, I was in contract and backed tf out bc they wanted $2,400 before utilities no thank youuuu, my realtor drives a Lexus, very pretty car love it! But she’s the sweetest woman and tells me how it is. She’s strait up told me “I’m not letting you buy this house” bc it wasn’t good haha. I drive a 22 Tacoma. I don’t think it’s the car someone drives, and I know she has a nice big house haha, it’s how they do their job, she specializes in first time home buyers so she knows what I can afford and what I can handle, we’ve been on hold the past month bc of work. But she’s still sends me houses, reminded me to call my bank for a new loan approval etc, she knows she has to be patient with me

My fiancé will be driving our 2004 Toyota Camry to his showings 😂 And it still has less than 100,000 miles on it! Even if he makes enough to buy a fancy vehicle from realty, he will still probably be driving the ‘04 Camry lol

When you’re making enough money as a realtor to afford the luxury car, that’s when you would buy one
But if you’re just starting out, no. You wouldn’t go buy a luxury car hoping it helps your career. The cost of maintenance alone on a luxury brand is not affordable for most

Honestly, if youre just getting into being a realtor people are going to know that and their expectations arent going to be as high and what you drive isnt an issue. If youve been in the business for awhile or are listing multi-million dollar properties its probably more of an issue.
