My husband and I have been living in the same apartment for nearly 5 years. We have a child now and we totally have the means to own a home, but he always has some excuse. I live in a state where housing does not cost near as much as money other states and we could definitely find something affordable. He always has an excuse: the market is bad, I don't want to spend that much on a house that isn't worth it. However, housing prices just aren't going to go back to what they were when we were kids. Our child will be going to kindergarten soon enough and I don't like the school district we are in for our apartment. It's not a safe school district. I quit my job to be a SAHM and it's one of my biggest regrets because I should have stayed at my job and bought one myself.

Any housing market experts have any advice? Is there anything I can say to help maybe ease his mind on the process?
