Husband is upset I threw out his sourdough starter

My husband got really into baking almost a year ago because he was depressed. He enjoys making bread and really likes making sourdough. I was cleaning out the fridge and found his sourdough starter that he named. I'm sorry. Y'all bread people are weird. I hear about people naming their starters and find it weird haha. But he had been making more desserts lately so I threw it out. He found out and got really upset. My husband is an angry crier lol. So when he's mad he just tears up and it makes him harder to take seriously haha. But seriously he was sooo upset and I don't get it. He can make another one if he's that upset. He's mad because he had that one for a year and that I don't understand why he's mad and he feels I'm not taking it seriously. I mean I'm trying but it's hard to take something so dumb seriously lol.
