A taco takeout place we went to for lunch today just opened. A friend wanted to meet me and my 3 month old daughter there. What we didn’t know was that it has a wood burning stove they used in this place. The smoke was bad in there. They had the door open to vent but after said and done getting our food and leaving… my daughter and I REEKED. Like we stood in the line of smoke of a campfire. We got home and I threw out clothes in the wash, had my husband bathe her while I showered-this all happening immediately when we got home due to how bad we smelled! I even took out the inserts of her car seat to wash and set the car seat outside.

I’m having a terrible bad mom moment exposing my daughter to that. Even though I did my best to remove us from the situation I just hope I didn’t do anything to harm her. She isn’t showing any abnormal signs other than the normally fighting to sleep at bed time. She had the slightest cough but that normally happens when she gets worked up. During her bath I made sure to trap the steam in the bathroom and we run a humidifier at night.

Again… I am having a terrible mom moment. I hope I’m not alone 🤍
