Do you dislike your quiet coworkers?

I’ve realized this is a problem many places I’ve worked. I am very friendly, hard working, I ask questions, and communicate when needed. I am a pretty reserved person though and have been my whole life. I’ve realized people generally do not like me because of this. I recently even had a coworker work across from me and the room was quiet and she randomly threw a fit because I wasn’t talking to her, even though she didn’t initiate a conversation either. Also have been called a “weirdo” because of it. People are constantly commenting on me quietly working. Why does it seem as though I’m required to entertain people all the time?
