Has anyone had the balloon induction?

How was it and did it work quite quickly? Going in today!

I did with my first. I have a pretty high pain and discomfort tolerance so insertion didn’t bother me, but the nurses really prepped me for it being awful. It was put in at 8pm then by 4am it did it job and was ready to come out. I got the pit at that point, labored for a few hours, they broke my water around noon. By 4pm I asked for the epidural. By 5:30 I was at 9cms but babies heart rate was dropping so we opted for a c section for distress. He was out by 5:35pm.

Personally, the foley balloon was the worst part of L&D for me with my daughter. Very painful insertion and my body honestly rejected it before I was even as dilated as they hoped. I’ve requested to ideally not have the balloon this time around
