Latest doctor claims I don’t have PCOS
I was diagnosed with pcos almost 10 years ago. Had missed a few periods in a row but before that had always been consistent. Got a second opinion who confirmed it with an ultrasound. I had a few medications to assist with fertility, clomid, letrozol, met forman, birth control and several ultrasounds since. After being off medication for a little over a year we got pregnant but had an early miscarriage. It’s been 3 years since then and nothing since. Besides the miscarriage, my periods have been constant as well.
I just went to a doctor who told me that I can’t have pcos despite meeting all the criteria because I have consistent periods and so it’s not that. I asked her what I had them and she just looked at me like I was dumb. She basically told me that my only option is to see a fertility specialist. I told her it isn’t curable and she just started at me and sited off the textbook answer of symptoms saying I couldn’t possibly have it if I have more than 9 periods a year even if I check all the other boxes leaving me super confused.
Has anyone else been told they don’t have pcos after it being confirmed?
