Son feeling a bit lonely and wants play dates!

Hi all, my son is 9 and he is feeling a bit lonely. I know he wants friends to hang out with after school, play dates etc, although he has alot of friends at school which is good for him!

But I am not a very social person at all. This would require me to be friend other school parents. I don’t overly desire to have alot of people around me, I am content with that.

What do I do about this situation?

He wants to move closer to his dad because his dad has a large amount of friends who have kids, but we live in different cities.
