Labor signs

What can I actually expect to feel during early labor? Everyone I ask just keeps saying “you’ll just know” which is super unhelpful lol my first daughter was a C-section and I never even had Braxton hicks with her and never labored as it was an emergency so I have nothing to go off for this pregnancy.

I’ve also heard that it can feel like the baby moving so now I’m constantly second guessing myself.

I’m 35 weeks now and about a week ago I felt what I “think” was her flipping, it felt like she was scraping and scratching me from the inside and for about an hour it was extremely painful to the point of nausea. Ever since I feel her much lower and have been having constant cramps on and off that feel like period cramps as well as lightning shooting pain in my pubic area. It seems to get worse when I walk around even if I’m not doing any strenuous so I don’t know if this is possibly early signs or if she did actually flip then maybe it’s just because she’s farther down and her head is causing extra pressure. I won’t know for sure of her positioning until my scan next Thursday the 19th.

But the Braxton hicks and lightning pain seem to be increasing in volume each day and I have no idea what to expect from here on out for the big day or what’s normal so any advice on how it feels would be so greatly appreciated!
