Ultrasound at 7 weeks - too early??

Question

Has anyone ever done an ultrasound around 7 weeks that just showed the sac but no baby?

If the gestational sac measured 7weeks but it was empty then it would be a blighted ovum(missed miscarriage) 
If the gestational sac is measuring early 5 weeks then it would be normal not to see anything in it!

You may have ovulated late if you can’t see baby

I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and they could see sac and fetal pole and a blob of a baby. On a previous pregnancy at 5 weeks they saw a sac and nothing else and called it a blighted ovum. Could of just ovulated early? X

Yep! I’ve had 3 ultrasounds so far because I was experiencing pains and I’m 6w1d today. It’s only in today’s scan that I saw the beginning of a fetal pole but mostly just the sac

No normally can see heart beat by then, you may of ovulated late
