How to style my figure?
I suffered body dysmorphia for years, I never got over it mentally, but I eventually stopped engaging in the related behaviours and trying to “fix” myself. It sucks because I’d like to get into fashion and start dressing in styles which compliment me, but honestly I’m not sure I know what I look like anymore.
I do a lot of proportionate portrait drawing and for the first time I thought, why not measure out all of my own measurements and see myself different perspective?
Though I objectively knew my measurements, this wasn’t at all how I saw myself. It’s a rough drawing, but the proportions are correct.
I’ve been wearing skinny jeans with oversized tops for years to just ignore the issue entirely. I’m only 154cm tall and my bust is awfully large, so I’ve always looked insanely “compacted” and top-heavy between my shoulders being the same width as my hips and my bust measuring similar to my hips. Besides my legs, I don’t particularly have much muscle tone on me.
My general measurements are: Bust: 99cm, Waist: 65cm, Hips: 103cm.
Does anyone have any styling tips?
