8 months pp - help!

I’m 8 months postpartum and I have not gotten my period yet. I’m still exclusively breastfeeding so I am not concerned about this, however, I’m on my 4th day of having light brown spotting. Before becoming pregnant my periods were bright red in color and quite heavy, so this is new to me. Is this normal? The spotting is not accompanied by an odor and I have no other symptoms.

I was quite crampy about two weeks ago (the week of March 3) and felt like my period was on its way. I didn’t notice any spotting until this past Friday, March 14. The bleeding isn’t heavy enough to even require a pad.
