Hand expressing colostrum before birth

Hi Ladies,

Looking for some advise my ob advice me to start collecting colostrum at 37 weeks by hand expressing, it turns out I am getting induced at 37 weeks so she told me to start at 35 weeks, now my question is I have been trying the last couple of days using a hand pump and maybe 1 or 2 drops have come down. I was wondering has anyone pumped instead of hand expressing and did it cause you any contractions?

With my first I was only able to breastfeed for 2 months and I really want to give it a try again.
