How do you decide?!

Question

We have 2 beautiful girls, a 6yo and 18 month old. My SO really wants to try for a boy in the near future (of course we know it might not be a boy, but we will be happy either way). I love the idea of a 3rd but the only things holding me back are not the pregnancy, hard baby moments , or even money….its the logistics of how to physically fit another human into our lives. We live in a 3 bedroom 1200 sq foot house which means two kids would need to share, and our rooms are TINY!! I would need to get a new car (which I just paid off my SUV this past year) bc it will not fit 3 car seats/boosters. My SO and I both work, so our parents help babysit/take my oldest to school in the morning (they all volunteered to do this) bc our work times don’t like up with her school drop off time. Quitting my job isn’t really an option money wise. Of course if we accidentally fell pregnant, we would HAVE to make it work one way or another. But do we WANT to bring this stress on ourselves for the sake an another sweet human? The logistics tell me no, but my heart says it IS possible albeit very stressful for a while. Any experiences you guys can share to give me some things to consider?? Thanks!!

I would not have an additional pregnancy in that situation. I went for a 3rd. Ended up with twins. If you’re even on the fence a little, I wouldn’t do it.

I personally would give it time before adding another child to the home. That way you can plan ahead and really prepare your lives for another child.

If you want another one, I say go for it. I’ve always been told, you will regret not having more but won’t regret having more.
I have 5 and 1 on the way. 😅 #6 was a surprise. I had to get a new car myself. My car would only hold 5 kiddos and I had just bought it not even 3 years ago but things happen lol.
I come from an only child household meanwhile my husband comes from a family of 12.

Work towards getting a bigger vehicle and adding an additional room onto the house. I wouIdnt bring another baby into the picture if there's a struggle to get them all to fit into a vehicle or household.

I have 4 kids in 2 bedrooms that arent big. 2 twin beds, a small dresser, small desk, and shared end table takes up the entire room.  Theyre happy. My 2 boys are 11 and almost 13 and we are discussing getting them a bunkbed so they'll have more space but they dont seem to care much. We have a wallspace upstairs where we have a small desk and computer set up, and another small desk in our dining room area, so they can take personal space there. Oh and we homeschool btw so we are home a lot and my kids are still fine with the set up. I drive a mini van. Someday maybe youll move to a bigger place but even if not I personally dont think this is a reason to not have a 3rd.
