Pregnancy after PID

Tracey • 1st ectopic, removed rt tube. Tried iui-rt ovary kept ovulating-ivf milt times-adopted- here to give it one more go.
I never knew I had pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)until my husband and I got pregnant. It turns out to be ectopic. The dr noticed a lot of scar tissue. Couldn't save the tube and referred us ro fertility specialist he did a laparoscopy land removed all the scar tissue. Said all was good and other tube open tried a few months to no avail. When on to IUI but both times he noticed I had a dominate overt on the side with no tube. On to IVF=failed. So we took a 8 ur hiatus and adopted 3 over 8 yrs. I never tracked or even be bothered if I was ovulating. Well I got an itch to do IVF one more time. Preliminary results show other tube still open, blood levels showed that have good equality, and by examine my ovaries, he saw the dominate ovary has shrunk and the other one with tube is the one I probably ovulate most of the time. The only time I ever tracked my cycle was with first, ectopic, one. Should I even test ovulation and try? Am I too old? I'm 40. Honest opinions please. I need a reality check. Especially if you or someone you know has been through a similar experience. Please respond with even random. Thanks for reading. Baby dust to you all!!
