Need serious period advice

Hello,

So I started a new birth control (nexplanon) 4 months ago and my period has never been worse. The period right after the “surgery” lasted a month. The period last month also lasted the whole month. And now I finally had sex with my boyfriend after pretty much 2 months and I’m bleeding heavily again. Like I said I’ve never had this crazy, painful and heavy of a period (bled through a S+ tampon in 3 hours) in my life. I understand that my body needs to get used to the implant but at this rate I’m about to take it out. I need some advice or reassurance soon cuz this is seriously negatively affecting my lifestyle and emotional well being!
