Are blood clots normal??

I just got my IUD placed on Tuesday. It’s only Thursday now but the amount of bleeding has been increasing every day since I got it inserted. Today I woke up and went to the bathroom to pee and saw that this big clot fell into the toilet. Any idea if this is normal?? I got the IUD a few days after my period finished when the doctor said my uterine lining was thin so it’s not from menstruation 😰
