Is anyone concerned about the Zika Virus?

So my husband and I originally booked a vacation to Puerto Rico and Antigua for New Year's. We postponed the trip until March because of a blood clot in my uterus that thankfully shrunk by 9 weeks.

Now that I read about the Zika virus spreading to Puerto Rico, and the CDC cautioning against pregnant women in the Carribbean, we are planning to postpone the March trip (now babymoon) until after baby arrives.

Is this on anyone else's radar? I'm attaching an article. Zika is spread by mosquitoes and causes brain damage in infants.

Ok thank you! I am planning to postpone my trip until after the baby comes. The hotel is being gracious about moving the dates. I would worry I think. Your trip sounds unmovable so it's a different situation. I wish you the best!!! I'm sure it will be fine!

I just messaged my doctor about this. I'm scheduled to travel to PR in early February. I hadn't heard anything about it, so thanks!

My husband is from Brazil and we were supposed to go there to visit his family. Due to the virus, we decided not to go until after the baby is born. Our family totally agreed and they told us stories about pregnant friends there who are very worried too. Personally I think it's not worth the risk when you can go to many other places for vacation.
