How far am I?

The doctor has told me I'm 4 weeks 4 days because they go from the 1st date of last period.  I've done a clear blue digital and it says 1-2 weeks.  Are these accurate? I would say I'm just into my 3 week.

Hi Kate. First of all congrats :) secondly I don't think they are that accurate at all. In terms of a positive / negative reading they are better than a doctors .... But the weekly indicator can send women into panic mode. I've read so many reviews of the test staying in 1-2 weeks or 2-3 weeks. Or going from 3+ back to 1-2 weeks freaking women out only for them to book and early scan and everything be fine. 4 weeks 6 days would be 2 weeks 6 days from ovulation. The 2-3 weeks on those is only 70% accurate so test in a few weeks and you might have jumped to 3+. Or better yet use the cheaper tests and monitor the line getting darker or ask you doc for bloods to see your hcg level doubling. Whatever pits your mind at ease. I think the best option though is try be happy with your positive and sit back, relax and enjoy because at the end of the day what will be will be and obessing wont change anything. It will just give stress which isn't good xxx

The digital tests give you weeks since fertilization which happens around O time at cd14 on average. The doctor counts you from the day of LMP. If you get a 1-2 since O on the digital, the doctor will usually give you 3-4 weeks. Looks like they line up for you pretty well!
