What to say during an interview?
I posted this in work and careers but I just wanted to try posting it here because I feel like it’s more active.. sorry!
So I’m leaving my current freelancing job for a regular job. Basically to make the long story short, with my freelancing job I have companies reach out to me to see if I’m available during the time that they need me. If I agree then they send me a contract and I sign. So I am then bound by contract to perform my job duties during this time.
I don’t want to do this anymore because the pay is inconsistent and I just travel way more than I want to. So I have an interview tomorrow with a company I really want to work for and I’m wondering if I should mention that I still have 2 jobs I’m bound to do?
One of my jobs is just a day job and I can work from home so no travel and it’ll only be the one singular day I’ll need off. The next one is at the end of July and it’s 5 days and I’ll have to fly out of state for this one.
Talking to my friends and family is kind of split. Some people say no just get the job first and then tell them you need these days off and some people say to be honest in the interview and just let them know.
Just curious as to what you guys have to say… any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
@G - THANK YOU!! I got the job! I took your advice and let them know I had to have those days off as part of my acceptance and they were more than happy to make sure I had those days off.
Thanks everyone for the advice!
