fear of blood draws

does anyone have any recommendations on how to stay calm thru blood draws? sometimes the staff is understanding and will be accommodating by using the smallest needle and helping to distract me.. but usually they seem kind of annoyed with me because I have many piercings and tattoos but I start crying before my blood is drawn EVERY time.. it’s just so hard for me to stay calm.. YES I have many piercings and tattoos but it’s different from medical needles.. I’ve never had a piercer miss and blow one of my veins ya know.. I have my glucose test today but the needle I’m really scared for is the IV when I go to give birth.. pleaseeeee give me any and all tips y’all have to keeping calm during blood draws and such, I’m much more terrified of the needles/tests than I am of labor and delivery :/
