Advice on what to bring to family!
Hey guys so my family is from hawaii but my mom and my brother and I moved to the states when I was 5. The rest of my family still lives there so I go visit them all the time/as much as I can. I just recently saw them 2 months ago and I’m going again in July for a family wedding.
My mom brother and I ALWAYS bring gifts. Whatever it is, we cannot go back empty handed. Well, last time we brought fun snacks and honestly… I didn’t have enough time to plan ahead so I offered my niece and nephew a shopping trip since I didn’t really bring anything. They had so much fun picking out toys and clothes they wanted.
My cousin, who is 14, told me that next time I come I should bring stuff from Trader Joe’s. I asked him why Trader Joe’s? Apparently he says that ANYTHING from Trader Joe’s is looked at basically high end and makes him look “cool”. I asked him what he wanted specifically and he just said ANYTHING!
I’m for sure going to bring Trader Joe’s snacks but I’m thinking… do y’all think he’s talking about like a tote bag? Or hat? I should have asked him more details when I saw him last 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
Even though all my family, from both sides, have always lived in Hawaii all the way to great great great great grandparents, I don’t have any real personal connection to Hawaii since I did not grow up there. I don’t know what’s cool for the younger kids.
Any ideas on what I should bring??
Gifts are mostly for the kids of course… I bring drinks for me and the other adults. The kids age range from 14-19, so they’re not too young.

THANKS!!! I felt so weird getting Trader Joe’s cause it’s just such a normal thing for me. Thanks for the suggestions I will definitely get the kiddos some gear and the adults some snacks, coffee etc
