Baby is pushing up on all your insides. Intestines, lungs, all that jazz. So your food takes longer to digest and may cause heartburn :)!

Baby does it to you but diet also affects it. There are foods that are not heartburn friendly. Look them up and try to avoid them.

Also, your esophageal sphincter is probably mishapen and loose (from baby pushing on it and from hormones) which causes it to remain slightly open. Thus resulting in heartburn. Tums and Zantac will be your best friend. I also have a PT who closes the sphincter for me when I see her but that only lasts 3 days max.
