Can a common cold hurt your baby?

I'm almost 33 weeks with a nasty cold, and I'm really worried she is going to get hurt because of it. Does the common cold hurt them?

Baby will be fine just make sure you are getting plenty of fluids and eating. I had a cold around 33 weeks also and I was able to take regular mucinex. Make sure you talk to the doc and pharmacist about what you can take to relieve your symptoms. I also ate oranges like crazy and drank lots of fluid. I was feeling a lot better within a couple of days

Having a cold won't hurt your baby. Even a really bad dcough won't do any harm. Make sure you get lots and lots of fluid, you can use saline nasal spray, zinc losenges, sufafed if your congestion is bad, and Tylenol.
Watch out for fever, and make sure you treat any fever with Tylenol, and see a doc if you have a fever for more that a couple days, as that could indicate influenza, which could be potentially dangerous.

I'm just getting over one and had one with my last baby too. He was fine. I just use home remedies like herbal tea and honey, vitamin C, etc. As long you don't let it develop into a bad infection with a fever or violent cough, you'll both be fine. Rest up <3

Don't take any cold meds without talking to your doc, and do your best to stay hydrated and rested. Just take care of yourself as much as possible. Feel better soon!! Colds suck.
