should i play spy?

long story short:

my husband and i have been stressed out and arguing. I trust him but he's been ignoring me because he's mad.we barely have sex or even kiss as much as we used to. He has been going out which seems like every week with friends from work, i don't know any of his friends either. And not sure why he doesn't invite me along. But my point is i feel like i should stake out the bar he's going to tonight with his friends, but then again i feel like i'll see something i don't like, or if he takes his wedding ring off and so on.

Should I play spy tonight or not even worth it?

Don't play spy. Let him unwind with his friends, don't confront him aggressively. Stay approachable, discuss the issue calmly on a night he hasn't gone out.

Confront him with how you feel.  If you can't talk about the issues or he's not willing then maybe it's time to part ways.  Nothing worse than a grown man or woman who shuts down and won't discuss their problems.

It's a bad habit to start. A suspicious motivation only causes more suspicion later. I've battled with this and it's more trouble than it's worth.
I want to tell you to do it so bad, but I've been there and he will prob have trust problems with him if you do.
You and he just must eventually communicate and cultivate trust. Or not. There will be other signs if there is a problem. Like, if he tells you that you can't go with him and meet his friends.
