Am I the only one?!

Question

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I've never had blood draws to check my levels. I just wait till my OB appt. From most the topics blood draws seem to cause more people concern then not. Am I the only one who doesnt? I feel like a wierdo but at the same time. I don't see how it really helps?

Second one with no blood draw. I use a midwife, so I'm sure that has something to do with it, I'm also not high risk. It definitely would NOT put my mind at ease.

I am pregnant with my third. I have a 13 and 10 yr old. I did lots of fertility stuff with them and was overwhelmed. With this pregnancy I have had no blood draws and do not plan to contact my OB for a few more weeks. I haven't been pregnant since my 10 year old and before that had lost 8 babies during the fertility process. My thoughts are to give it a few more weeks and then call. I don't want to stress or become obsessive...been there done that.

I didn't with my 1st only had one draw to confirm pregnancy with my 2nd and won't be having any blood draws til 12 weeks with this one. For me I don't feel the need. But I understand why high risk women do it.

It's my first and I find it reassuring to see them doubling. It's my way of checking on baby although there is nothing I can do to prevent something from happening it puts my mind at ease

No you aren't the only one. I did with my last pregnancy because I had just had a miscarriage and the doctor wanted to make sure my levels were rising normally. In that case they did rise normally but it still ended in miscarriage. So this time I'm not having my levels tested. I see no real reason, it sort of gave me false hope. 
A lot of doctors don't do it unless they believe there is an underlying issue. 
I also notice a lot of women here get ultrasounds very early, in most cases my doctor won't do them until 12 weeks.

I am a patient at a fertility clinic and it is routine because of the high risk patients and the availability of a lab and ultrasound on site. This is my first pregnancy and found out I am at high risk for miscarrying due to low progesterone levels.
A part of me wishes I was more in the dark about this all than I am.

It's routine to get blood drawn to check levels if u are seeing a fertility specialist (my case). Two of my friends who don't have fertility issues didn't have to get their hcg levels checked when they found out they were preggo.

I'm having my fourth and I've had blood draws to check my levels with all of them and my first one was almost 7 years ago
