How many alter sounds??

How many alter sounds do women usually get?? I've only had two. One at 9 weeks and 4 days. And the other to find out the gender at 20 weeks 5 days. 
I would like to see my little man again before he is born. I kind of wanted to try a 3D one. 
Do doctors usually give you another alter sound appointment? Or do you have to request one?

Ultrasound** and if everything was healthy at your 20 week anatomy scan you probably won't get another one unless it's medically necessary. I had a dating scan at 8 weeks, I paid for a private 3D scan at 16 weeks to find out the gender and then had my anatomy scan at 19 weeks. I'll be paying for another private 3D/4D scan at 30 weeks ☺️

I got one to confirm pregnancy, another around 12 weeks when having the Down syndrome test, and then one at 18 weeks for gender. I went to an outside facility and paid for a 3D around 28 weeks. I have no idea if I'll have another before she comes, I haven't asked the doc.

My doctor only does a third one if you go pay your due date. Otherwise just the two. Some of the elective places are fairly cheap. The one near me is 60-70$ I believe and you get pictures.

My doctor offers 3 I had one at 13 weeks another at 22 weeks so I can't wait till my next one hopefully before 30 weeks cause I don't have any good pics....

You'll only get about two normally. I had three so far at my doctor office. 9weeks, 20 weeks anatomy scan when I got the gender and again at 20 weeks because they couldn't see everything. Being that I have fibroids I have to go to an outside facility every 4 weeks for ultrasounds for accuracy of measurements

I'm high risk so I have a 6 week scan, 8 weeks scan, 12 week scan, 16 week scan, 20 week and then between 20 weeks and 31week scan I'm going to pay for a private one, it's all depends if your high risk or if something is wrong with the baby x
