Why or why not?

I'm getting a lot of crap over this decision. I met my husband while pregnant with my first and he is the adopted dad of that child now. But, during the birth I was alone in the room dr didn't have time I had 2 nurses and myself. Husband and parents were in the hall.  Now we are pregnant with my husbands first and when I tell people I plan to be alone again they give me heck about it! Especially the women on glow. So, here's my question why are you choosing to have others with you? Why are you not?
