Are 3 month clothes really 0-3? Or 3-6??

If a onesie or clothing article says "3 months," when exactly will it fit? 0-3 months, 3-6 months, somewhere in between? Help! I'm at a loss... FTM, clearly :)

My son stayed in 6-9 mo clothes until he was almost 2. But now clothes are so different. Some 0-3 are long and narrow and others are short and wide. I'd buy just a few of each and judge that way. I also find a brand that works for my baby and general stick with the brand because we know it fits.

4th time mom and I never go by that I go by size all 3month olds are not built the same, lol. When your baby comes you will be able to gauge his or her size, so buy few 0-3 until baby comes! you will get the hang of it no biggie😊 CONGRATS mama!

Depends what brand I find carters very small so 3 months means 1 month lol but it also depends on your kid. Some are bigger than others my daughter had been using 2t since she was 9 months. Plus depends on you because I buy clothes just a little bigger sew the sleeves if I need to and unsew them when she grows into it. If not you'll be buying clothes every months I never bought newborn clothes i started from 3 months and up. But you'll find your way when the baby comes.
