My boyfriend is not putting forth much effort to talking to me. I've told him several times already that he hurts my feelings when he doesn't talk to me and that I felt that he needed to talk to me more. He says he will but need does. This is the last thing I texted him ...

You're going about this all wrong sweetie. You sound desperate and though you're trying to show your love and get him to show his, you're actually the one pushing him away. You're coming across as a needy brat. It sounds weird, but guys don't like to feel like they are being forced to do things. You're text translates to him some over dramatic girl girl that can't have her way. "Call me or I'll kill you" "talk me or I'll die" can be the equivalent of how he receives your requests. Sometimes guys subconsciously pull away as a test to see if you are needy and clingy. Guys move at a different pace than females. They don't know they're doing it, they just do it mainly as a need to claim their freedom and independence. When women behave this way, it pushes them in another direction and they view you as clingy and needy. Just Be cool.

That same thing happened to me and I told him that he has to put forth an effort cause I'm putting my all into it with nothing in return not even a text while you're on the toilet. He didn't respond for weeks then he came crawling back and by that point I wanted nothing to do with him. I'm still not over him but I know i deserve better

I'm sorry Hun, but if he cared at all about your feelings or the relationship he would text you. Him not responding to those texts is just flat out mean. And at this point, anything more you say is just coming off as desperate. You deserve better..

If you don't want this guy to see you as needy and desperate, the next time he calls, don't answer even if you want to talk to him. Don't text him back. Otherwise, he'll just begin to advantage of you. Treat him the same way he's treating you. If he cares enough, he'll become persistent to get your attention again. But you have to allow him the chance to chase you. If he doesnt you have your answer on how he feels about you. Keep it moving. But allow him the chance to chase you again. You can't force someone to talk to you. Maybe he's busy. Maybe he's out with friends. Maybe he's taking a nap. Maybe he's running errands. If he feels you are too emotionally dependent on him, he's going to be turned off.  Men are hunters and they want to win. If he doesn't feel a challenge or excitement, he'll grow bored. If he feels you are smothering him, he'll become even more distant. So what do you do ???? It's simple, when you two are together tell him what an awesome time you have with him and have a good time. When you talk on the phone and have a great convo, send him a texts that says you love your talks. That way you're translating your feelings to him without pushing him away. You've probably already pushed this guy away but the next guy that does this, because another guy WILL do this, just be cool.. Allow him to come around. But Don't text or call this current guy back tho. Allow him to call you and when he does, don't respond. If he asks why, say you were busy or something. If he gets upset, play it cool.
