White and spotty discharge

So my husband and I are trying for baby number 2 and I'm a day or too late but I started to have this creamy white discharge on my underwear along with a slight spotting. I was nasiated all last night but I took a test 2 days ago and it came out negative. I just always thought the creamy discharge was a pregnancy thing, idk what to make of this? Is it a period coming or possible pregnancy?
