How long have you guys been with your partners? And what do you do to make it work?

I been with mine 9yrs and we talk,listen,give each other affection, love, trust, and most of all give each other space when needed even when we so get mad!!

Been together 17 years, married for 15 years. Respect is the key to a good relationship. Never say or do anything your partner would find hurtful. Yes, we have disagreements, but we've never had a real 'fight'. We take turns being strong for each other. He works 12-hour swing shifts, I am now home full time to take care of our 4 kids & keep up with the household. We love just being together, laughing & enjoying each other's company. We truly are best friends! :)

We've been together almost 2 years. We refuse to give up. We talk everything out. We keep things out in the open. We're a team; if one of us is facing something, then both of us are. We laugh together, and we cry together. Because it's never 'him' and 'me'...it's US. As he would say, that's just how we roll lol

Two and a half years :) whenever we have disagreements, we talk and work them out calmly. We trust each other completely. I tell him everything and he does likewise. He's sweet, committed, responsible, and treats me like the only girl in the world. I do my best to make him feel appreciated, secure, and desired. He's the man of my dreams and I can't wait until we get married--hopefully soon!

1.5 years... My boyfriend is a hothead, but also the sweetest person. He has a lot of anxiety and sometimes we fight because of it. Keeping a level head and knowing how to react and communication is the best way to deal with it. Its not about not having problems in a relationship... Its how you deal with them.

I've been with my partner for a little over a year now. Even though it's been a short time we are comfortable but we still try to do new things together. But time apart with friends is also a good thing you have to have your time together and you have to have some you time :)

11 years. Communication is a big thing. Also we have great mutual trust...I don't feel the need to "check up on him" and vice versa. We do share a lot of the same interests and have the same sense of humor and for the most part we have the same friends. So we do almost everything together. We will have an occasional girls/guys night but we usually all hang out together. Also maintaining a healthy sex life is important :)

5 years in December. We have been through thick and thin. I was 16 he was 19...I think all our big fights made us stronger. We talk when mad, listen and come up with plans. We both care and love each other and never stop showing that.
