I am going to a local animal shelter to adopt an adult dog, and I want to get a pit bull. Not because its a fad to have a pit but because statistically pits are the #1 innocent breed euthanized. I am not including the dogs who attack. My question is how many of you own a pit from a shelter, and what are your experiences? I know that with shelter pets they come from a variety of homes from abusive to loving. I just want yall's opinions.
