Alcohol before knowing you were pregnant?

Question

Has anyone been guilty of using alcohol before knowing you were pregnant?? I took a test on the 6th and 9th and both were negative so I was sure I was not pregnant. I went out for my birthday on the 9th and 10th and had about 3-4 drinks each time. Not sure why but decided to take another test on the 12th and it was positive! I want to be oh so excited but I'm feeling overwhelmed with fear and guilt. I'm not sure if I was at the end of my 2nd week or beginning of my 3rd (or 5th going off LMP) but I'm terrified it was the end of the 3rd since that is when all the important neural development starts. Freaking out!! Anyone?

Haha I did New Years because I felt like my period was coming and I was waiting to be disappointed like normal ... But then a few days later it didn't come and I took a test and I'm pregnant ... I felt a little upset at first because I ended up blacked out drunk and falling on the ground but I don't think it matters much as long as you stop when you find out the baby gets everything they need from the yolk sac the first so many weeks and not directly from mom so I think if you didn't even miss your period yet it should be ok

i took one Christmas day and was negative. i'm not a big drinker but was visiting family with my so for new years and wanted to take a test on new years but my so said just enjoy tonight and check when we get home if af is still a no show.. so new years i drank about 20 jager bombs plus other drinks! home with a hangover on the frist so waited until the following morning to test and had two positives on the 2nd!! now 8 weeks and baby's healthy! 😄 funny how it all works out!

I did, I had drinks a couple of nights during the week of Christmas and found out I was pregnant New Year's Eve. I wouldn't worry about it too much, I'm sure you and the baby are fine.

With my first I drank heavy on the 22...found out we were pregnant the 26
 Had no clue and I don't normally drink like that. But all as well. Stopped obviously and my Dr said you'd be surprised how many women that happens too. I actually haven't had anything to drink since conceiving baby number 2.

I drank heavily on the 14th and got BFP on the 15th. Period was supposed to start 14 or 15 so I had no idea. I have read 6 weeks (from time of last period) is when you begin sharing blood with your baby. Before then the baby is getting nutrients from their yolk sac. Once the placenta is in place is when you are sharing blood supply. As long as you've stopped drinking alcohol when you found out, you should be fine. Let's be honest, alcohol has helped make many babies throughout history- mine included!

I binge drank the day before I found out I was pregnant. I was suspicious that I was (just like every other month) but convinced that it was the usual PMS... You're fine- as long as you completely stopped now is all that matters🌸
